We Love Snow!!!

I have been telling Jay for a while now that I wanted one "good snow" before it started getting warmer. I had about given up hope until yesterday when my wish was fulfilled by more snow than I ever thought we would get this time of year! I absolutely love snow! I love the feel of it, the smell of it, I love watching it fall! It truly makes me happy! The boys of course were very excited and could not wait to get out in it and "make snow angels". Here are some pictures from our snow adventure!

I had to get a picture of the house before I would let the boy's mess up the snow. I love it when the snow is uninterrupted by footprints. I love it when there is no grass poking through and it just looks clean and white and perfect. That is my definition of "a good snow". I just hope that the snow didn't kill my tulips that have already started coming up! Notice the boys waiting patiently on the front porch for my cue that they can go and play.

Logan did not know what to think of the snow. Yesterday, when it was coming down pretty good he kept looking out the window and saying"uh-oh" like something was wrong. It was pretty funny. He did not like walking in it at all but he did pretty well if he was being held. He did NOT like having snowballs thrown at him at all either!

My Snow Angels!!
So we are going to enjoy the snow while it lasts because I know it will be gone all too soon. I guess now I will be ready to move on to warmer weather and lazy days spent playing outside. It was the perfect end to winter! I can't wait to see what the spring has in store for us!

About Time, I Know!

I am sorry that I have not been very good about keeping my blog updated lately. I seriously think about sitting down to do it, and sometimes I even do, but it never fails I somehow always manage to get side-tracked! I just keep telling myself better late than never, right????

Day to day life in a household with three little boys is crazy to say the least! It seems like I am able to "tune out" the almost constant state of chaos most of the time, but I can only imagine how life inside my home appears to those who are not use to having three young children running around. Jay and I often joke after friends come to visit that we are probably a great source of birth control for many couples. We can almost hear them as they get into their cars to leave saying "Maybe 2 kids is all we need" or "So-and-so will be just fine as an only child, right?" We however, would not have it any other way. I took all 3 of the boys with me to Walmart one day last week and I kid you not 2 different people came up to me and said, "Oh, you have 3 boys!" and then they said "BLESS YOU!" At first I wasn't sure how to take the comments wondering if their was something about our appearance that just screamed "MASS CHAOS!" I mean sure, the boys hair probably was not combed and it very likely that I was not wearing a stitch of make-up and probably had a stain on whatever shirt I was wearing, but I don't think that we were that out of our element! Then I decided to take the comments for what they were, BLESSINGS! I am blessed!! I have 3 happy, healthy, beautiful little boys who God has allowed to call ME Mommy! So yeah, things may be crazy and I may only get to update my blog once every 2 months but like I said before, I would not have it any other way because it is the way things are meant to be!

Okay, enough of the sappy mumbo jumbo. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the last couple of months. I am really going to try and be better about keeping my blog updated. By that I mean you might get to see Christmas pictures before Valentine's Day! Just kidding of course! (Maybe!!!) HA!

Brady and Collin trick-or-treating in the neighborhood.

Note how they are pretty much in this poor woman's house! Brady has never met a stranger!

This is what Logan thought of Halloween! What a cute little bat baby!!!!

The boys with Paige, my college roommate's daughter. Is she not the cutest?????

Mimi and the boys "just a swingin' "! (Okay seriously, I am a dork!)
Mommy's birthday!! The boy's decorated for my "surprise" party while Jay and I went to dinner. All day long Brady kept telling me about my "surprise" party. It was pretty funny! SURPRISE!
This is a random picture of Collin that we took one day in the car. I looked back at him and this is what I saw! Luckily we had the camera with us! I love it!
This is your brain.....This is your brain on Micky D's......
Collin playing on the computer in just a diaper. Enough said.

Brady and Logan hanging out watching morning 'toons. So sweet!

I hope you enjoyed the new pictures! I really do hope to have more posted soon! Until then love to you all!!!

Back By Popular Demand

Okay, I am finally back by popular demand! Okay, not popular demand but it has been brought to my attention by more than one person that my blog needs to be updated so I am going to post a quick catch-up post and then try to be better about my updating. I finally let Jay show me how to fix the pictures from his camera so that I don't have to wait for him to fix them before I can post them, so hopefully I will be better about keeping my posts updated. With that being said, here are a few random pictures from events from the past 6 weeks. Hope you all enjoy!

We celebrated Logan's first birthday the first part of September! I can not believe that my baby is one! He is now walking and is in to everything! It is so much fun watching him interact with Brady and Collin! Here he is getting ready to dig in to his first birthday cake!

My wonderful sister-in-law, Jennifer, made Logan's cake and it turned out perfect! So cute!!!!

This is a picture of my precious niece Maggie! She is so cute! Can you even believe all of the hair that she has! She is such a sweet baby! I love her!!!!
We met our small group from church at a pumpkin patch last Saturday morning and here is a group picture of all the kiddos! Aren't they all so cute?? Such a fun bunch!!!

My other precious niece, Tatum, celebrated her third birthday last weekend as well! Here she is getting ready to blow out her candles! Unfortunately, her friend Brylee beat her too it which she did not take to kindly to at all! For more on that you can visit my sister's blog. Just click on "Taylor and Tatum's blog" under my links to see the pictures. They are pretty funny!

I guess that is all for now! We have had a busy last couple of months! Brady and Collin started school two days a week and they are really enjoying it so far! They both have great teachers!! I will have more to post very soon. We went to the State Fair yesterday and we are heading out to the Air Show this afternoon so I will try and post pictures from these events in a day or two! Until then , love to you all!!!!!

First Hair Cut

We took Logan to get his first haircut yesterday. I had been putting it off because I knew that once his hair was cut he would look like such a big boy and I really wanted to hold on to that baby look for a little while longer. I was hoping to wait until his first birthday but his hair was just getting way too long and, quite frankly, I was a little tired of people calling him a "her" every time we went out somewhere. (I mean come on, is it not the style now for boys to wear their hair a little longer?) Anyhoo, Jay has been on me for a while telling me that he really needed a hair cut so I went ahead and made him an appointment too when I made them for Brady and Collin. Below are pictures from the big event.

Logan before the hair massacre began...My sweet little baby angel face!!

Okay, this is not too bad...
Enough already!!!
Are we done yet???

Hey, leave me SOME hair for goodness sakes!
Almost done.....
The finished product!!!!!

Just as I suspected, my sweet little baby boy now looks like a sweet BIG boy!! I can't believe how much one haircut can change their looks! I mean next thing I know he will be walking! He really does look super handsome though! Just like his brothers! If you thought they all looked alike before wait until you see them all together now!!!! I will have more pictures of all the boys to post soon!!

A Lesson Learned the Hard Way

I learned a lesson this morning. One that after having two kids already you would have thought I would have learned but, I guess not. What is that lesson you may be asking?? NEVER LEAVE AN 11 MONTH OLD UNATTENDED EVEN FOR ONE MINUTE!!!!!

Brady woke up this morning wanting what we at our house call cup-cake cookies. You know the ones I am talking about. Lots of messy bright pink frosting and sprinkles. Anyhoo, Jay had to go to the store anyway so he picked some up while he was out. Here is where to trouble begins. Brady, Collin and Jay were all playing on the computer. Logan is sitting on the floor watching cartoons and playing with his toys so I thought, "Hey, while everyone is happy I will go ahead and go get dressed." I go back to my room for I swear just a minute and when I come back into the living room, this is the scene that I find.........

The Cookie Monster!!!!!!!!!

Note the discarded pacifier in the empty cookie container. Cookies are way better than my pappies!!!
You can't possibly get mad when I look this cute can you???
Sweet, Sweet Victory!! (Literally)

Oh, yeah..cookies everywhere! I guess Collin had taken the cookies off the dining room table and put them on the coffee table right within Logan's reach! He thought he had hit the jackpot!! It really was pretty funny (except for the pink frosting smooshed into the carpet)! Do I think that this happening on the morning of Jay's scheduled Vasectomy is purely coincidental?? I think not!!!! This just reassured me that we are indeed SO DONE!!!!!! Seriously though, Jay's procedure was bittersweet for me. Bitter in the fact that unless God has bigger plans, we are done having babies. Sweet in the fact that we have the next chapter in our life with older kids to look forward to. I wouldn't miss any of it or give any of it back for the world!!! So here is to a lifetime of more messes, some funny and some not so funny I am sure. At least I have all of you along for the ride!!!

The American Railway Museum

I know that it has been a while since I have posted anything but there just really has not been much going on here lately. Here are some recent pictures from our visit to the Museum of the American Railway in Fair Park a couple of weeks ago. The boys really had a great time. Hopefully I will have more to post soon!!!

Collin loves the story "The Little Red Caboose" so we had to get his picture sitting on the red caboose!
