Happy 5th Birthday Brady!

Today is Brady's 5th birthday! I can not believe that my first born son is five years old already! How can it be? I unfortunately do not have any new pictures to post but in honor of his 5th birthday I am going to post 5 things that I believe make Brady special!

1. Brady is such a funny kid! He seriously makes me laugh everyday with something that he says or some little silly antic that he comes up with! He is always on the move and there is never a dull moment when Brady is around!

2. Brady is wicked smart! I know that you are probably thinking that I am a little biased, but seriously, Brady is so smart! I am amazed at some of the things that he comes up with and how much he is able to remember and comprehend. He can see or hear something one time and it sticks with him! He amazes me!

3. Brady has never met a stranger! I sometimes do not know if this is a good or bad characteristic. He will talk to anyone that will listen to him and talk back! He is so friendly and eager to make new friends. Here is an example of a typical conversation that he might strike up with someone new we come into contact with:

"Hi! My name is Brady and this is my brother Collin and my brother Logan. Logan is such a toot! He likes to get in our toilets....."

He really is too funny!

4. Brady is a wonderful big brother! I love to watch him interact with Collin and Logan! He is always so willing to show them "the ropes" and it is obvious that he loves his little brothers very much! I love it when they first get up in the morning because the first thing they do on most mornings is hug each other! Too sweet!

5. Brady is very sentimental even at such a young age! He seriously is already a pack rat! He does not want to throw ANYTHING away! I have to wait until he is not around to throw things out or he will have an absolute fit! He has been known to dig stuff out of the trash/recycle bin if he discovers something he wants that I have thrown out! It can be frustrating! I mean seriously, how many plastic Sunny Delight bottles does one kid need????

I could go on and on but I will stop there! I can't even begin to explain the absolute joy that Brady has brought into our lives over the past 5 years! I look forward to watching him grow and mature into the precious special young man that I know he will one day be! We love you very much Brady Boy! Happy Birthday!!

I will post pictures from Brady's birthday party this weekend when it is all said and done! Until then, love to you all!

I think my favorite thing about Brady is his love of accessories. He's always got something to go along with the elaborate story going on in his head. I also love that he's a leader, but he does it gently and makes everyone feel involved and important.

My prayer for Brady is that he will continue to hug his brothers throughout his life. That is soo sweet. I never see my boys do that anymore. So sad.

Happy Birthday Brady!
